ABOUT WISE
The World Institute of Sustainable Energy (WISE) is an organization established in 2004 in Pune, India, committed to the cause of promoting sustainable energy and sustainable development, with specific emphasis on issues related to renewable energy, energy security, energy efficiency, and climate change. Influencing public policy through research, advocacy, development of action plans/roadmaps, capacity building, training and outreach activities, is the prime objective of WISE.
WISE has completed more than 100 projects in the above areas and in solar power area acted as consultants for more than 400 MW of projects and as lender's engineer for more than 225 MW of Solar projects. Currently WISE is also working with the European Union (EU) delegation to India (as part of a global consortium) for facilitating India's transition towards low carbon development by supporting implementation of national policies and programs through the development of offshore wind power (for the first time ever) in India. The hub/project management unit for this project is located in WISE.

Under USAID- PEER cycle 5, World Institute of Sustainable Energy has done research study to strategizing O&M and performance evaluation of solar PV power plants in India.
